The Story behind The Paisley Farmhouse
I am a wife and mother of two grown daughters, one married and one in college. Anyone who ever knew me well in my adult life, including both my parents, my sister and her family, my friends and of course my two daughters, and son-in-law, knows how much I dreamed of opening a country store one day. I have always had a desk job, so this was something way out of my usual line of work. However, I always felt misplaced in such jobs, and the idea of being more creative in my everyday life was what I knew I should be doing. When my girls were little, we often talked about how maybe one day we could open a little shop. They loved the idea of course, and we dreamed and schemed about it for many years. Both my daughters are artists, so growing up they were always making, painting, crafting, sewing or doing something really messy in the house. But I loved it- it was just who we were and to this day they are an awesome talent in their own right, with many different endeavors of their own.
Both of my daughters, Shanda and India, have encouraged me, and have helped me get this dream off the ground. They are two of the most amazing gifts I have ever been given. My husband has worked and supported me in so many ways (too many to mention) to help me realize this dream. I also have a very sweet and talented son-in law who has helped me with web design, logo, advertising and so much more! Not to mention wonderful and talented extended family and friends who all are helping me out in one way or another.
As you can see, this is indeed a family run and operated business. I am abundantly blessed by the Lord in riches that far exceed the monetary. I could never complain about a thing.
